Designed by master sculptor Arthur Möeller in 1936, “Playmates” - also referred to as “Just Friends” - is a rare and heartwarming early Hummel figurine. It features a young boy seated on the ground, gently petting a white bunny beside him, while two more white rabbits nestle in a basket at his side. The quiet affection shared between the child and his animal companions captures a timeless scene of innocence, warmth, and gentle friendship.

Produced under the TMK‑2 “Full Bee” mark (used from 1950 to 1955), this version is particularly rare and desirable among collectors due to its early production and charming subject.

Crafted in hand-painted porcelain in West Germany. Measures approximately 4″ tall. Signed “M. I. Hummel” on the base. Listed in the Second Edition Official M.I. Hummel Price Guide for $180–$225.
