Laurel Burch, a famous designer and artist, and a California native, died in 2007 at the age of 61 from complications of Osteoporosis. Laurel Burch's art is famous for its rich and happy colors, her line of cat jewelry, her paintings, silk scarfs and so much more. She was an inspiration to many. A single mother who was forced to learn how to survive in the 70's, turning junkyard scrap into wearable and desirable jewelry and becoming a very successful businesswoman in the process.
